  I can't wait to go back!

  The brunch was fantastic and the most amazing value for money! We got a booth, as requested. Lauren, who looked after us, was absolutely lovely. The service was perfect, as not only we we very well looked after, but we were also left alone to catch up with each other and never felt that we should leave! The ambience in this place is happy and relaxed. It has long been one of my favourites and I can't wait to go back.

In Edinburgh’s south side, 56 North is a modern and airy bar restaurant serving classic bar food with an international twist. It is a great option for a post shopping bite to eat or a meal before a night out.

56 North is especially known for its extensive gin selection with over 80 to choose from, as well as their cocktail list.

Gourmet burgers, salads & grills

56 North has a tasty selection of classic bar food. Its gourmet burgers feature an 8oz steak mince burger or butterfly chicken breast with skin-on fries and your choice of delicious toppings such as the big apple which has pulled ham hock and chilli infused apple sauce, or the tower with cheddar cheese, bacon, giant onion rings and BBQ sauce.

The menu also features traditional items such as Peroni fish and chips, Caesar salad and steaks as well as the super fruits salad with halloumi, berries, summer leaves and a Tanqueray grapefruit gin dressing.

Close to Edinburgh University

56 North is on Edinburgh’s south side close to the Meadows and Holyrood Park. It is a fifteen minute walk from Waverley train station and there are numerous bus routes passing by serving the student population from Edinburgh University close by.
